Finally had some motivation to get back on this project, it's been too long and it needs to be done. I managed to remove the right side bearings using patience, small chisel with hammer. Also had an endoscope from DXZtoz . I managed to break the light on the endoscope, so while the endoscope worked, it's fragile and not recommended. I will now attempt to pull the left side bearing shells using some 1/2-20 threaded rod with flange nuts. 1/2" diameter flange nuts have an outside diameter that is a tight fit into the bore. Also trying out Kroil . Have been applying it to the corroded bearing shells on the left side every evening. Ordered the threaded rod and hardened washers from McMaster-Carr . Ordered the wrong nuts, so ended up ordering additional nuts from Fastenal . Hoping to get the correct nuts next week and to have the bearing shells out before Christmas!
